A very warm welcome COBIS to the Arctic Race4Good. A very warm welcome COBIS to the Arctic Race4Good. Thank you for taking off your slippers and putting on shoes made of polar bear seal skin and fur. It's time to embrace the High Arctic and understand what it's like to live in the extreme north where their world is melting four times faster than anywhere else in the world due to climate change. Are you ready to step up, share your brilliance and be the change you want to see in the world!

Thank you amazing teachers, business mentors and judges for sharing your time and talent to guide, challenge and cheer on these wonderful students.

Encouraged and guided by Aleq, a hunter, live from Encouraged and guided by Aleq, a hunter, live from Greenland, talented, brilliant students came together from across Asia with curiosity and collaboration, determined to be the very best version of their unique selves and make a difference. The smiles, excitement and energy from the students, business mentors and judges who took part in the Arctic Race4Good at the FOBISIA Student Leadership Conference hosted by Shrewsbury International School Bangkok Riverside, spoke for itself.

The annual FOBISIA Student Leadership Conference h The annual FOBISIA Student Leadership Conference held at Shrewsbury Riverside School Bangkok was a rip roaring success. It brought students together from across Asia including Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Singapore and Malaysia.

Be The Best You Can Be and Create Global Change

Such an honour to lead close to 400 students through a live Arctic Race4Good, guided and challenged by 40 senior business mentors and judges. The air was electric as twenty student teams competed in four leagues to devise practical sustainable new business ideas in just a few hours.

They were challenged to bring the best of themselves as individuals, to dig deep and gain extreme empathy, to take their feet out of their slippers and put them into boots made from polar bear, seal skins and fur! To understand the life of real families living in the Arctic, close to the North Pole, in Greenland, whose world is melting four times faster than anywhere else on the planet due to climate change.

It was pure magic to see the student faces light up, amazed, as Aleq, a hunter, appeared on the big screen live from Greenland. You could hear a pin drop as they listened to his stories of life in the Arctic and then had the opportunity to ask him questions.

The winning Arctic Race4Good solutions are being implemented right now. A wallet made from halibut skin is one of them.

The students left this brilliantly organised conference empowered knowing that they can truly be the change they want to see in the world.

‘To be able to make a real difference to a real family living on the other side of the world just by sharing my empathy, intelligence and innovation, it’s absolutely amazing.
I will never forget this.' - Student Sri Lanka
What an honour to speak at the Spirit and Service What an honour to speak at the Spirit and Service Series at Punahou School, Hawaii. My joy exceeded all levels when I was asked to present to the whole school from Kindergarten through to Grade 12, to teachers, faculty members, parents and alumni.

Growing Global Citizens, how to live a fulfilling life by being the change we want to see in the world was the focus. On community, connection and contribution, to giving of ourselves, to being kind, to scattering the seeds, watering them through action and watching something extraordinary happen.

The brilliant, innovative, highly empathetic students at Punahou School are great contributors to our latest global service, leadership and entrepreneurship programme, The Arctic Race4Good that focuses on climate change, working with families living in the far north of Greenland whose world is melting four times faster than anywhere else on the planet. 'The campus is still glowing with the love and inspiration you shared' is a comment that I put in my heart as I went on my way back to the frontline. Thank you Punahou, for the care and kindness, for the welcome and the warmth.
