In 1996 Linda was a stressed-out mum working in a job she hated, when driving along a motorway in the middle of the night she suffered temporary blindness. This terrifying episode left Linda determined to make a difference, to find her purpose and live it, resulting in her selling everything she owned.

For the past 18 years Linda has travelled from crisis to crisis assisting in some of the most catastrophic natural disasters such as the Asian tsunami, the Pakistani earthquake, super-typhoons and the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake. She has lived and worked in conflict zones, nomadic high-mountain areas, refugee camps and with challenged communities worldwide. Linda has 14 years’ experience in private sector engagement, was a nurse and is a qualified magician!

Drawing on excerpts from her book, ‘Marmalade and Machine Guns’, Linda describes her personal story, her wake-up call and resulting frontline adventures. Accompanied by striking images and videos, Linda inspires, motivates and captivates her audience, drawing them into this life of adventure and misadventure.

Linda has developed a series of innovative workshops based on her unique frontline experience. Participants are given the tools and techniques to develop personal resilience plans, leadership expertise, cross-cultural skills and learn to recognise their full potential.

Linda has drawn on her experience of living life on the edge to develop two unique leadership programs for business: Be The Change and Race4Good®. These programs deliver tailored, deep-immersion experiences, wrapped around critical and emotionally-engaging, real-life content. Providing highly accelerated leadership development for employers, employees and students. Available in various formats and tailored to meet the needs of specific businesses.
